Ms.Monica's Dates

Ms. Monica goes on lots of dates. She likes to say they aren't dates and that she's just meeting them, but we all know they're dates. Get this, she talked to a guy for NINE hours. 11 at night until 8 in the morning. Ms. Monica you are NOT in high school anymore! But we love you. Last Week

Next Monday starts the last week of school! It crazy how fast my Freshman year went by. I've made many new friends, and even lost some old ones. I'm glad next year I won't be a Freshman. Too be honest this year has SUCKED. I already have a busy summer planned and I'm ready to get it started!

Band Banquet

Tonight is Matt's band banquet. I'm going as his date tonight. It's going to be awkward because I can't stand 99.9% of the band people. Okay maybe like 95%. But its still going to be REALLY awkward.

Austin Godwin is my BEST friend

Austin Godwin is the coolest cat I know. If he wasn't in my 5th block I would never laugh. He's graduating this year, so I'm going to miss him. A lot. Because he's not just a cool cat, he's a SUPER cool cat.

Hallway Singing with Bobby!

Today Bobby and I are singing in the hallway! Why? We feel like it! We entertain the people. We love the people. So what do we do? We entertain the people! Bobby's guitar sounds out of tune... Poop.

I'm in NOLA!

As of right now I am sitting in a hotel room in Sidell, Louisiana. I arrived yesterday afternoon and woke up at 3:45 this morning to get my spot in line at the X Factor registration. We were able to get there at about 5:40 a.m. and surprisingly I was VERY close to the front! While we waited in line someone got the bright idea to give some 55 year old man a guitar and so he began to sing his original songs that were not.. family friendly.. Amongst all the people hollering at him and begging him to shut up about 3 small huddles formed around our side of the line where someone decided to share their talents in the middle of each one. When the person stopped around me it got a little quiet and all of a sudden my big mouth opens and starts belting "Boondocks" by Little Big Town. After I realized what I was doing the only thing going through my mind was "crap. Now everyones looking at me, what did you get yourself into". When I finished I looked around and saw that not only were the people in the huddle I was by hooping, hollering, and applauding me, but a lot of people from the other huddles  were too. A huge smile swept across my face. At about 8:30 they let the first group go to the registration tables and luckily I was part of that group! My parents and I both thought that we would be spending our entire day there today but we were able to get our wristbands and tickets and everything taken care of by 9:09! We're all excited for the audition day on Sunday, although we aren't positive that I'll be getting through that round, we're glad to be here for the experience.

Pre X Factor Audition

 I will be leaving for New Orleans to go audition for The X Factor 6 days from today. I know a few other people from our school are going too. I'm supposed to have 3 songs prepared and right now I have no idea what I'm going to do. Whenever I tell people that I'm going to audition, most of them don't understand the process and think I'm going to automatically going to preform in front of the celebrity judges and be on T.V. Actually, whenever I get to New Orleans I have to wake up really early in the morning and go to registration. After registration you come back the next day and you go through rounds of auditions in front of producers. Thats where they decide what people they want to televise. Its a long shot but I think its worth a try. I'm hoping for the best but of course expecting the worst.
